“Abstract Landscape” by Oleksandr Bogomazov (1915, public domain)

When I first started exploring the internet, many years ago now, I came across a number of personal online journals. These were the precursors to web-logs, or blogs as they are known today. The early journals were often stories about what the writers thought or felt about different things they might come across in their day to day lives: politics, health and nutrition, their jobs, family life, school, and many other things. Some were very well written, which made them rather interesting. And some of them were very beautifully “illustrated,” if that is the correct term for a web design. It never occurred to me then, or even just a few months ago, that I would be writing a blog. While this isn’t my personal blog, as I am writing as the priest-in-charge of St. James the Apostle parish, for the most part the prayers, opinions and ideas will be my own. My hope is that you will be enriched by its content and, perhaps, encouraged to explore the website further to get to know us a little. So welcome to our brand-new website. Stay awhile, look around and maybe come and visit us. We’d love to welcome you.
